Issued by the Environmental Agency under the Environmental Protection Act  1990, FOS maintain a Waste Management Licence for the treatment of oil/water mixtures.

Our marine facilities at the Port of Falmouth are able to receive all liquid oil/water wastes including Low Flash slopsA dedicated 500cbm barge, the Falmouth Jubilee is available to receive your waste products whilst your vessels is anchored. We can also deliver all grades of bunkers together with fresh water and bulk lube oils while your waste oil is discharged. To view or download our Low Flash slop questionnaire click here.

The onshore slop reception facility can handle incoming liquid oil/water wastes (oil phase minimum Flash Point 21 degrees C) from inland sources via road tanker at a Reception Bay and Victor Separator or from marine sources via jetty pipeline.

The Reception Bay is used by customer road tankers from various local companies and also for servicing vessels alongside in Falmouth Docks.

FOS operate a vacuum tanker unit for servicing our own requirements which is also available for hire within Falmouth Docks.

Subject to Jetty and ullage availability, marine slops in quantities up to approximately 1,000 MT can be received direct from vessels alongside.

We can also receive Engine Room and Bilge slops from bunker call vessels wishing to de-slop while bunkering.

Following treatment and processing, Recovered Fuel Oil (RFO), at low water content level, is held in storage and is available for sale. RFO can be loaded to vessels alongside or to customers road tankers
